And now she thinks she's faint as a ghost
And she wonders if she is there
So she pushes a man and he falls
And he falls
She's a single face in the crowd
And she runs to the sound of her heart
She doesn't know why that she runs
But she runs
And her heart is emptier than light
And her soul is married to the stars
She doesn't know why that she runs
But she runs
She's a single face in the crowd
And she runs to the sound of her heart
She doesn't know why that she runs
But she runs
And her heart is emptier than light
And her soul is married to the stars
She doesn't know why that she runs
Watch me run!

Quotes:
Dan: I wrote and recorded this all in an hour at 3am one icy January morning, when I was living in the studio. It was a Saturday night and I was bored out of my brains and started to go crazy. I decided to go out of the studio and run around town as the clubs shut, dodging all the pissheads and jumping over vomit.
When I got back to the studio I was electrified by the feeling of invisibility, feeling like I'd turned into a ghost, and wrote the song without stopping to think.
As I wrote it, it became the mystical tale of a girl in the wrong place and time, not knowing who she is or why she's there, only that she has to run.
